Managing Team performance (4 hours)

a. Goal setting – Using SMART goal method.
b. Use Team discussion to examines team effectiveness from the perspective of eight dimensions.: Purpose and goals, Roles, Team processes. Team relationships, Intergroup relations, Problem solving, Passion and commitment and, Skills and learning
c. Use productivity indicator (from NEA) to measure individual performance.
d. Use appropriate channels to give constructive feedbacks

Trainer's Profile

Yong Kam Seng

Yong Kam Seng graduated from the Glasgow University (UK) with a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering (Hons), and ICI University with a Bachelor of Theology and holds a Master of Education from University of New South Wales. He also holds the WDA Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA).

Yong Kam Seng has been a full-time lecturer with the Polytechnic since 1985. He is currently serving as Senior Lecturer in School of IS, teaching a wide varieties of modules. For the training of adult learners, he specializes in SDWSH, SD in Quality Engineering and Management courses. He also undertakes consultancy work, working with several companies such as M1, Qualcomm and Panasonic etc.

Certification

Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass assessments.


Entry Requirements

Applicants should be working in a relevant industry or have an interest to switch to a supervisory position in the environmental services industry.

Course Fees

Funding period is from 1 Jul 2020 to 30 Sep 2024.
